Clinicians Taking the Lead—Will You Be One of Them?
Welcome back, dear colleague!
The Courageous Clinicians Community Is Officially LIVE! 🎉

Why it matters: Healthcare is at a turning point, and real change happens when people come together. The people who choose to step in, show up and find their people come from different places, have different stories, but these things they have in common - they refuse to be bystanders and they believe healthcare can—and must—be reimagined.
Our idea to build the Courageous Clinicians Community was created with these people in mind. This space is built by and for clinicians and public health advocates who are ready to take action on the biggest challenges in healthcare—health equity, climate and health, mental well-being, immunization, and more.
And now, this community is officially open.
📢 What You’ll Find in the Community:
💡 Practice Teams – Tackle healthcare’s biggest challenges, together.
📚 Advocacy Skills & Training – Build real-world strategies for change.
🎙️ Live Events & Expert Talks – Learn from top leaders in the field.
🤝 1:1 Mentorship & Peer Support – Because no one should do this work alone.
🚨 Spots in our Practice Teams are filling FAST! If you’ve been waiting for the right moment—this is it.

How Do We Make Change That Lasts?

We’re taught to fight power by pushing back.
To resist.
To protest.
To expose the cracks in the system.
But power doesn’t break just because we see the cracks. It breaks when the foundation shifts—when what it relies on is no longer stable.
But, what are the steps to shift the foundation? These are a good place to start:
🔍️ Step 1: Identify the Dependency
Who or what does this system rely on to function? What would happen if that support disappeared?
🔄 Step 2: Rebalance the Equation
Instead of asking “How do we stop them?” ask “How do we make them need us more than we need them?”
Now that we’ve established the first steps, it’s time to take action. So, instead of asking yourselves the wrong questions, try these strategies:
1️⃣ Can you go directly to the people?
For example, if your research is defunded, can you bypass institutions and fund it through the communities that believe this is important?
2️⃣ Can you shift the balance of need?
If a corporation thrives on exploitation, what happens when people stop buying their product?
When investors pull out?
When the structures they rely on start to shake?
The bottom line: Power isn’t a fixed state—it’s an equation. And equations can be rewritten.
